Hear, hear. I have a use case where I need to run some data extraction a few times a week that takes a few minutes and a few GB RAM to complete. I could simply squeeze it in on one of our other servers but that means the whole setup there would get slightly less elegant and would pollute the logs with weird load spikes. Lambda is just perfect for such a use case, and the number of processing minutes makes it almost free.
