FWIW I bought one when G1G1 was still around ... I used to use it for Skype, which actually worked pretty well. Pulled it out of storage recently and my 6 year old daughter enjoys playing around with the music apps. I also installed FakeNES. It works, and you can map the screen-side buttons, but unfortunately they don't seem to want to work at the same time so it's terrible for actually controlling. Incredibly, the battery still holds a charge, but only for about an hour or so.
