I hate adding extra latency, cold start times meant that for any API that was serving data to a customer lambda is a no go for me. Cold start times, just suck for UX imo. I have one lambda function in my backend at the moment. It is a trigger from Cognito to create a user in my database. It makes sense here, this lambda will only be run once for each user.
