The Nobel Peace prize is a joke. Obama won it despite green-lighting the Afghanistan surge.

- gnusty_gnurc 7y agoGood point - the committee must be horrible at judging people. Obama had essentially no foreign policy accomplishments at the time that they awarded him, suggesting they gave it out simply as tacit disapproval of Bush.
- mehrdadn 7y agoIf the entire prize is a joke, it'd make sense if you could point to patterns rather than one anomaly.
