- nickjj 7y agoYeah this is a really good point and with 50 states that's a lot of things to keep track of. Let's hope it isn't able to be broken down like sales tax. Remember last year when there was a big hoopla about that Massachusetts court case that hinted that any online vendor would now be responsible for collecting and reporting on sales tax for purchases coming from any US state (even if you as the business owner didn't have a business location there). Basically changing the requirement of the buyer to report sales tax for out of state purchases onto the business. The only problem is there's 9,998 different tax jurisdictions (as of 5 years ago)[1] spread across 50 states.
