You are a lot less likely to run into violence, gore, exploited people, etc. in person. The answer to, "human moderators get hurt by the constant stream of truly awful stuff." is not, "let the stream of truly awful stuff just go straight to everyone".
- calimac 7y agosociety will offer better moderation than the network because a segment of the moderators will seem out the content and hunt the users publishing the indecent content and destroy them exposing them to their immediate network for the evil that they are. Let the battle play out naturally and nature will provide the resources. the arrogance of Facebook to think they can hire employees to drink from the fire hose of content to solve moderation is glaring.
