Why would they do that after shutting down Google Code?
- ocdtrekkie 7y agoGoogle Code wasn't modern/competitive, seemingly had nobody working on it internally, didn't have a business model of any kind, etc. Why launch a new messaging service after shuttering... like ten of them? Just because a company shuts down a product doesn't mean they'll never want to have a product in that category again. Especially a company known for regularly having multiple overlapping products.
