I'll try it out for size for a while - easy to apply using Stylish extension here for Chrome users:

- godDLL 16y agoIf you set your top banner color to white either with user CSS or in your profile (if your karma is sufficient) it will fix the header.
- daviding 16y agoYes, thanks - have done that now. Also Ubuntu doesn't have Helvetica Neue installed natively, so I change the body to fall back more gracefully to sans-serif: body * { font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; }
- godDLL 16y agoYou could pick and use a favourite -- 'Linux Libertine' will do quite alright I think.
- nagnatron 16y agoYou can, of course, use whatever you like, but I think that putting a serif font as an alternative for Helvetica Neue/Helvetica for Linux users is a bit silly. There's plenty of Helvetica alternatives on Linux.
- godDLL 16y agoBelieve it or not, but I actually like Libertine and have no particular fixed interest in Helvetica. I could have suggested Liberation Sans, or DejaVu Sans just the same. I just saw a similar re-layout with Georgia that I liked and was a bit primed for serifs. :)
