I'll second that (not a Singaporean yet, but live here enough to call it my home).
Singapore government produces amazing programs aimed to adapt elderly workers to changing environment, which includes help to understand how to work with modern devices. A lot of government money is poured in it and I personally consider it as money well spent. In other countries I've been living in elderly people are usually just being left with their problems or thrown in into some kind of welfare scheme, which younger generation has to be paying for.
In Singapore everyone works which means contribution to society and it pays off with opportunities for everyone and excellent government services.
