But that's just false. Rotations preserve orientation, reflections do not. They can't be equivalent. Two reflections can be equivalent to a rotation however, because that restores the original orientation.

E.g. meant to say "a half turn rotation in a plane [of a point] is equivalent to a reflection across the axis of rotation."
- jacobolus 7y agoA reflection across the axis of rotation, which is a point, not a reflection across a line. –1 is the quotient of any two vectors which have the same magnitude and point in opposite directions.
