I ride a regular non-electric scooter regularly and the biggest problem with it is the weather. The scooter solves the "last mile" problem for me, but I can depend on it only for ~7 months in a year, which means I can't really plan my commute, choose the places where I live and work. I don't see this problem discussed enough and can't imagine anything better than public transport for the winter. It's a real bummer.
