Is that really a smart fight for the NCAA to pick? California has some big name sports programs, and the NCAA is an organization whose legality is not really firmly established. If the California AG decides to open a case investigating whether the NCAA is an illegal cartel existing to exploit the labor of their ‘amateur’ athletes, I can’t imagine it would go particularly well for them.
