This is a common misconception, but terribly incorrect. Talk to a lawyer.
- nickjj 7y agoI guess it depends? Multiple accountants have told me that over the years (I'm a freelance developer btw).
- Digory 7y agoYes, it depends. I mean, there are independent contractors, and they get 1099s. But I'd find it miraculous if the job you just described was upheld as an independent contractor.
