- mikepurvis 7y agoI think the point is that perhaps only the richest 1% actually need to own their own private automobiles. With good enough alternatives, it is possible to push car ownership up out of the middle class, and that's ultimately what's needed. Otherwise, the whole thing is just half measures that make it harder for poor people to get around.
