- the_watcher 7y agoTitanium as an option is worth calling out as well. The navigation stuff seems like it could be more fully-featured in the future (would be cool to get Google maps-esque nav directions on my watch instead of keeping my phone in my hand, for example).
- briandear 7y agoYou can get turn by turn on Watch without a phone.
- the_watcher 7y agoBut can I look at my Watch, see the map and an indicator of the direction I'm currently facing? I assumed the directional indicator required an internal compass, but maybe I'm wrong.
- graeme 7y agoIt's not clear they did a spec bump. They didn't announce any new chip.
- twoodfin 7y agoThe spec sheet for the new Watch lists an S5 SoC vs. the S4 in the Series 4. Presumably they didn’t talk about it because all the performance gains were spent on battery life to make the always-on screen practical?
- p1esk 7y agoI really hope I can disable that always on display mode.
- jmkni 7y agoSurely disabling it improves the battery life? Right? I don't need my watch to be on when I'm not looking at it!
