The idea being that free taxi service might provide incentive to some people who weren't previously driving.
Why bike when there's a free convenient taxi? Even those who drive might take more trips into town if they don't have to worry about driving in traffic and parking.
- CydeWeys 7y agoCorrect. In no way should single occupancy vehicle trips even be subsidized, let alone free! Taxis should be the most expensive option. Trains and buses should be much cheaper, if not free.
- stetrain 7y agoThe trains in my area are completely free. You pay $0 and they don't take you anywhere because they don't exist.
