- dominotw 7y agoso my car seems to have some sort auto breaking on collision detection. The manual says it can detect pedestrians, cyclists and even dogs. It doesn't actually work in practise?
- a012 7y agoAddition to the question, it was a Porsche SUV so it's definitely more expensive than regular car. So the safety features didn't work in case (assumed driver got epileptic seizure?)
- turk73 7y agoOMG! The horror! Don't come to my state where nearly 100% of the vehicles in the pickup line at my son's Elementary school are, <gasp> SUVs! If it's not an SUV it is definitely a mini-van. Know why? Because it snows here--a lot. These kinds of vehicles are important for getting around in the winter months. There have been zero accidents at the school or anywhere else the kids congregate.
- djrogers 7y ago> Children can't be seen over the hood. That's not really a valid point - any child close enough to be invisible to a driver is far too close for the driver to avoid. A child more than a few feet away can easily be seen by the driver of an SUV, let alone a small oen like a Macan.
- lnsru 7y agoI bet this particular luxury SUV had all the cameras and park distance control system to see every child around.
