This is a layman's understanding, corrections / contexts are welcome -> If radiation is non-ionizing, it doesn't hurt you to be exposed to it, even in high amounts.
X-Rays etc. are dangerous in high amounts because they ionize some of the chemical bonds in your cells, somewhat analagous to ripping apart your body on a molecular level.
Radio waves (including 5G!) do not ionize, which is is to say, they don't mess with any chemical bonds and thus are 'invisible' to your body in just about every way.
