Retrofitting an LCD screen into one makes it a lot better visually and easier on the battery life. Easy to tear down and repair, to boot.

    It uses an LCD, a lowres super twist shit one and it uses a CCFL backlight which eats battery. So replacing it with a different active matrix LCD with LED backlight can improve battery life and quality (double res)

      Iirc, mine bled through the display horribly too. Very fun games and hardware though.
