I've read on HN that CCP themselves has a report showing they need strong growth % to continue or face uprising from within, though I can't find a source so I don't know the truth to that #, though to me it feels like the correct step to take given what I feel are complete fundamental threats to Democracy and human rights world wide - yes in spit of problems we have in our own backyard.
