It would be nice if scientists and philosophers worked closer together. These days a scientist's understanding of the scientific method is usually a bowdlerized version of Karl Popper's work, as passed down from one scientist to another. But ideas do tend to filter through eventually, even if most scientists aren't themselves aware of where they came from.
