This comes up every time with a Buzzfeed News investigative piece. Honestly, I don’t know why they kept the name when they launched their actual journalism org; it’s kind of like starting a legitimate, old-school blood testing laboratory under the Theranos name.
- comicjk 7y agoI said this to a blue-check journalist (Max Rosenthal) on Twitter, and he mocked me for it. But I still think it's true. The name BuzzFeed is just not helpful.
- tgsovlerkhgsel 7y agoIronically, at this point, I associate Buzzfeed more with their reputable, high quality journalism than their clickbait.
