- ajross 7y agoIt is? Go back and find me a 1950's source that credits the growth of the American Suburban Lifestyle to a desire for racial segregation. The racial subtext became clear only decades later. Almost no one, even in the 50's, actually claimed to be a "racist". Be real. And this article? It tickles all the same creepy buttons. It defines a "good" thing, and enumerates its benefits, in terms that "just happen" to be a bunch of pro-segregation dynamics.
