- thompo 7y agoI have asthma. Even legal dispensary bought THC cartridges put my lungs in such a bad spot that my rescue inhaler barely brings relief. If I wasn’t well aware of that and hit one a dozen times over the course of the day I would be in serious trouble.
- pizzazzaro 7y agoTheres always a nicotine overdose. But thats rare - the fda cracked down on overly strong vapes. You could put strong salt-nic juice (used for more discrete devices) in a cloud chasing, room-fogging device. That'd do it. But thats rare, and shops will tell you NOT to do that. Mostly? Pirate THC oils. Using oils that linger in the lungs to dissolve THC, leading to lipoid pnemonia. The presence of vitamin e (for topical uses mostly, sometimes oral) is a dead giveaway that the liquid is not meant for inhalation. Vitamin E itself has been shown as the acting agent of lipoid pnemonia in a couple of these cases. Strangely enough, vitamin b-12 works just fine in a nicotine-based vape juice. Just use the kind that is easy for the body to absorb (cyanobalamin, not methylcobolamin) and its a nice pick-me-up. Vitamin C was tried before - but to reach any significant amount, you need more volume of vitamin C than eliquid... Fat soluble vitamins? Bad for lungs. Water-soluble? Eh, depends. Fda still wont allow that without a prescription (b-12 has been cleared&approved as a medical device, btw).
