And I hate to break it to Sam Smethers, but feminism does not hold a monopoly on equality [1], and it has become associated with more than just that belief: "Feminism incorporates the position that societies prioritize the male point of view, and that women are treated unfairly within those societies." [2]. In fact, I find it hard to believe someone in Sam's position isn't aware of the word's expanded meaning.
