WSL is cute but it is a toy. Microsoft doesn't value your work. Stick with a real linux distro. My linux boxes all have uptimes of hundreds of days, since our last full day power outage.
Props to the WSL team. They made such a nice toy.
- service_bus 7y agoI recently lost a weeks worth of work as well (due to a mistake at my vpc provider) I resented them for causing me to lose my work, but deep down I knew the fault was mine for not having proper backups.
- dTal 7y agoI am sorry for your loss... but if you're keeping unsaved data around for a week, you do rather have yourself to blame. I would never leave work at the end of a day without ensuring that all of the day's work is safely persisted to disk - there's no excuse for doing otherwise.
