I started quite similarly, doing native iOS development for a good 5+ years. Fortunately I started playing with React and React-Native for fun. I landed a React-Native position 2 years ago doing both iOS and Android, and am about to switch to a full-stack position, since I also do Django. The initial idea of owning the whole iOS platform and being able to control every single API worned out after a few years, and I'm glad to be escaping that specialized dead-end. What drives me to develop front-end apps too is that the threshold to get them into the hands of users is much lower than for apps. I'd highly recommend you five React-Native a go.
