There are places and teams that do have competent, experienced people that know how to solve tricky problems, and there are also teams where too many key people basically don't know anything and attempt to silence the voices of anyone who have experience and expertise from making them look dumb. In some places "everyone is trying their best" to solve tough problems, in other places "everyone is trying their best" to get promoted. These two orgs are not the same.
