I used to work for a digital consultancy, one of the projects I worked on had a shared slack team between the client and my company. It definitely created problems, but IMO, the problems were because there weren't limits or understanding around how slack should have been used. The staffing of the project changed pretty significantly throughout the years I worked on it and the trouble came from not setting expectations around how slack (and channels) should be used.
