I don't know man. Index funds seem to be the safest bet you can make as far as balancing risk and growth. You're betting that the world in general won't collapse over the long term. And if it does any high growth strategy is probably going to collapse with the general world as well so isn't that much safer. What is fascinating is that here is an article claiming that one of the safest bets you can take is the same as one of the biggest most corrupt and deplorable scams of the last 50 years. Now that's interesting because we want to take a look at who wrote that, who published it, and wonder what the heck they are up to peddling this view.
