Side-question: is there any way to explicitly tell github whether a file is C or C++? I have this same issue, where C code is marked as C++ and vice-versa. Not a huge issue, but a bit annoying. It seems a bit weird that linguist (github's tool for doing language recognition) marks a file with namespaces in it as C, which is obviously not supported.
