I want to know if I am wrong.. Down voting without a comment provides minimal information. Voting down leaves me not knowing why my comment is wrong or makes no sense. Why wouldn't a UBI be a better way to devalue the currency than the Fed's interest rate policy?

They downvote to disappear your message. The same way some governments disappear journalists who say inconvenient things. The downvote isn't to make any positive contribution or impact on anything or anyone.
