That is a very bad idea. The protestors are already against one powerful actor. If they are against a second powerful actor, and something sinister happens to protestors, it will be easy to cast doubts on who did the sinister act.
- samstave 7y agoSinister things are already happening to the protestors. The piece of shit governmaent is dropping UV powder on protestors from fucking helicopters so that they can be identified as participating in the protests, and then arrested. So, fuck you china. I personally boycott anything from china for the rest of my life. Period. I will hold to that statement.
- mads 7y agoCompletely agree. Made in China is not for me anymore.
- jtx22 7y agoThat's impossible.
- javajosh 7y agoGood heavens, it's a difficult path to walk avoiding Chinese goods. Everything seems made in China - clothing, electronics, etc. Moreover, when shopping online it's rarely specified where the product was made. How do you manage these practical problems?
- samstave 7y agoObv this is the most valid question. Lets all marie kondo the fuck out of china: china does not spark joy. So just minimalize the entire world.
- et-al 7y ago> (the) governmaent is dropping UV powder on protestors from fucking helicopters so that they can be identified as participating in the protests, and then arrested. If you don't think police forces around the world won't learn and copy this tactic, you're sorely mistaken. Also, I applaud your vindictiveness, but good luck abstaining from any consumer electronic that doesn't include China in its supply chain.
- samstave 7y agoI am already a minimalist. I can do this. The problem is i still need a small amount of things (which i already have, which were made in china (crock pot, etc), but ill have to work even harder to stick to my statement)
- ergothus 7y ago> Sinister things are already happening to the protestors I'm not the above poster, but I think that was their point. Right now, when sinister things happen to the protestors, there is little confusion as to the source. But if the protestors were offending TWO powerful vested groups, then each can hint that the other is the source of the problems and observers will have a hard time knowing who to blame. Protest groups NEED observers to have clarity - the only way non-violent protests win is with the eyes of the world seeing the sinister acts and knowing who is responsible.
- Wistar 7y agoEveryone in Hong Kong should dust themselves with UV powder.
- samstave 7y agoMy god that would. Be both horrific and hysterical at the same time. Btw, how do you wash off UV powder... asking for a friend....
- samstave 7y agoI love that this is being downvoted you Chinese piece of shit shills. Keep going! The more it’s downvoted the more i win!! Yay communist robot shill pieces of shit!
