The guy just likes this cheap keyboard. I use those aluminum Mac keyboards for most of the same reasons: I like (somewhat) low key travel, they’re cheap and easy to find, and last reasonably well.
Edit: Actually it looks like the $50 keyboard I’m talking about got replaced by the “Magic” keyboard that’s considerably more expensive. Too bad.
- IE6 7y agoThe keyboard enthusiast community online is pretty notorious for gatekeeping and people often conflate something being objectively bad with their subjective opinion. In reality it's all about preference and what feels right to the individual.
- test1235 7y agoIt's just bloody obnoxious. I've always used crappy keyboards for work and they're all fine - my work isn't affected and I don't get RSI.
- anewguy9000 7y agono, this guy is just selling his cheap keyboard via amazon referal link. and "if they ever stopped making it, i'd buy a few if them!"
- nickjj 7y agoYou're quoting things out of context. I only said that because it was something I did almost 20 years ago with the Logitech Wingman mouse when it was officially labeled as no longer being produced.
- anewguy9000 7y agothank you for adding the disclosure note to your post. it reads much better and more transparently now.
- magashna 7y agoIt's more that he's so wowed by extremely common features that it comes across as shilling, which it is due to using his referral link. This is an advertisement disguised as an article.
