I thought I would understand what virtue signalling was by the end of this article if there was enough context clues, but I still have no idea what this is supposed to mean. I get the impression the author believes the reader should already know what they are talking about.

- izzydata 7y agoThanks. I seemed to have missed that as I was expecting it to be something that every human does and this kind of thing doesn't resonate with me.
- bryanlarsen 7y agoThe connotation is that it's signalling only, that there's no substance behind it. "All hat no cattle" as the Texans say.
