  Damn, you're right. And the only mention I see on this is announcements from Amnesty[0] and EFF[1], and his own Twitter feed[2]. Zero mentions in national news whatsoever. It seems he's now actually being charged with cybercrime due to a photo they found in his phone of opening a telnet connection to a particular IP. No login attempts, just opening a connection and taking a photo of the login banner. They're also looking into his visa status and taxes. It should be obvious that this is a political case.
