This is not true. The region where new software is deployed first is different team by team (or service by service).
- bdcravens 7y agoPerhaps, but I can't recall a product launch that wasn't available in us-east-1 from day 1.
- jbourne 7y agoI believe us-east-1 is one of the regions included in the minimal set of regions for a new AWS service to be considered 'available'. If I recall, eu-west-1 is another such region.
- herostratus101 7y agous-east-1 is the most likely to have any given new service first.
