That is a disturbing quote. Was it something one of his characters said, perhaps a villain, or is that just Isaac Asimov being Isaac Asimov?

- soperj 7y agoWhy is it disturbing? Because he rhymed a word with itself?
- teddyh 7y agoTechnically, he rhymed one word with its homonym, not with the same word.
- tunesmith 7y agoOne of the most painful sex scenes I've ever read was in one of Asimov's books. It was two scientist sorts trying to talk clinically about their attraction to each other... I think it was in one of the Empire novels. I forget if it was Empire or Robot because I followed one of those reading guides that ties them all together.
- jldugger 7y agoSeems to be a jokey song, but a brief scan doesn't indicate the author disagrees with the premise: http://members.tripod.com/~bardic_circle/aclone.htm http://members.tripod.com/~bardic_circle/aclone.htm
- trothamel 7y agoI think it was just Asimov being Asimov, during the sexual revolution when sex wasn't considered an overly bad thing.
