Having a large fridge seems super daft to me.
A large freezer - now that's a lifesaver. Buy in bulk or cook batches and win the game.
But a fridge? Once you go beyond N days of food per person, you're literally wasting food! It's impossible to use the space for the most part other than some condiments.
- JoeAltmaier 7y agoSoda? Beer? Cheese? Preserves? Lots of things have long shelf-lives and want cooling. Its not all about leftovers and vegetables. And even vegetables have their place. We preserve (can/freeze) garden produce. Where to put it between harvest and processing? The fridge.
