If only it was that easy. You have to pay the special car tax (and VAT on top of it) to get Danish license plates. And you’re not allowed to have a car on foreign plates if you live in Denmark. However, I moved away from Denmark before I bought this car (that was actually part of the reason I got it, a BMW costs less in Switzerland than a humble Skoda would in Denmark).
