Audited financials for year X are typically published sometime late in year X+1. You can't start the process until year X ends (or more likely until after the relevant tax filing deadlines in all the countries involved have passed, so certainly not until mid-April and possibly later), and it typically takes months to do the audit.
So for example, if you look at https://assets.mozilla.net/annualreport/2017/mozilla-fdn-2017-fs-short-form-final-0927.pdf https://assets.mozilla.net/annualreport/2017/mozilla-fdn-201... (which is the 2017 financials for Mozilla), it's dated "September 26, 2018" (see page 4 of the PDF, page 2 of the actual document). The equivalent document covering 2016 is at https://assets.mozilla.net/annualreport/2016/2016_Mozilla_Audited_Financial_Statement.pdf https://assets.mozilla.net/annualreport/2016/2016_Mozilla_Au... and is dated "September 26, 2017".
It's not September 26, 2019 yet. ;)
