I have a 2017 Macbook Pro and love it, and have never had the keyboard issues. This is the thing: there are millions of happy Macbook Pro customers that don't hang out on hacker news. I then spilled wine on my keyboard, they replaced the top case and it, still no problems. Yes, they should fix the keyboard. But I don't think they've screwed up as badly as people think.
