Human connection. A major predictor of workplace happiness is if people feel like they have at least 1 other friend or confidant at work. It's incredibly hard to build meaningful relationships over a conferencing system and makes the job feel more robotic. Also I think I'd get incredibly lonely and depressed if I did remote work.
