"BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany’s cartel office said on Monday it would appeal a regional court decision to suspend restrictions it had placed on Facebook’s data collection practices to the country’s highest court. "
Am I understanding this correctly: They are removing restrictions, so this a win for FB?
- Nextgrid 7y ago> a regional court decision to suspend restrictions it had placed on Facebook’s data collection practices Seems like a regional court decided to suspend restrictions imposed on Facebook and the cartel office is trying to override that decision.
- zaarn 7y agoNot yet. The court decided the restrictions weren't okay but IIRC since it's now being appealed on a higher court, FB isn't free of them until the higher court comes to a decision unless they can make a good case that it would bankcrupt them.
