What about module-level programming? Has the author ever heard of functors? How about information hiding and coupling data structures with their functions? I need just a glance to the ML world to find lots of valid use casea for modules, way more than just "provide a compilation unit structure".

- macintux 7y agoHe wrote this as a rumination to an Erlang audience about the Erlang language. It wasn’t really necessary to explore every angle about other languages’ use of modules. He does discuss information hiding in an Erlang context, so he didn’t completely ignore your concern. I’m not sure why you felt the need to (tonally) attack him.
