i beg to differ, on different machines ( not exactly high end, but 16Gb RAM and SSD, both Linux and OSX ) either intellij-ultimate and Rider are snappy and fast. It has a been a long time since i had to fiddle with idea64.vmoptions to improve performance.
Android-Studio built on the same base, OTOH, is a drag.
