Looking for a parental controlled app for Netflix? or insights for building one?

Hi, I'm tired of The poor Netflix parental control and I'm looking for alternative apps that allow to watch Netflix with useful parent controls, I'm even considering to develop one. Talking about their parental control, they do advertise to have a way to set a PIN which can be required to play any show, which I believe is poorly implemented, for example, you can enter the PIN to watch a video, go back, and choose any other video and it will play just fine without asking for a PIN, which makes the PIN almost useless. The ideal app would allow to watch only whitelisted videos/shows, as well as to limit the watching times (just like YouTube Kids). Until now, I haven't found anything and it seems to be related to Netflix taking their developer API down some years ago. Before trying to reverse engineer how their site works, I wonder if any of you have any recommendations on an working app, or if it's too difficult to do it. I understand they have some kind of DRM-protected content but haven't for details, also, all information I have found is related to the era before the public API was taken down. I do remember another user once complained here about not being able to load Netflix on a browser he was building due to this DRM restriction. Any insights are appreciated. Thanks!
