Shopify grew revenue by 50% in Q2, eBay by 2%.
- notyourwork 7y agoeBay has also been around for how long? That is not really a proper comparison.
- ceejayoz 7y agoIt would explain why the market caps and revenue numbers diverge.
- foobarian 7y agoMy kids grew their lemonade stand revenue 125% month-over-month. Truly impressive! :-)
- shshehe 7y agoI mean doubling anything over a month is super impressive. You think you're making a dope point but you just come across as a simpleton.
- lnanek2 7y agoSeems legit to me. Kids can go from 25 cents to 50 cents quite easy by selling a second lemonade. The needle is much tougher to move with bigger costs and bigger amounts.

- chiefalchemist 7y agoYeah. 50% of a small number vs 2% of a much MUCH bigger number. It's a classic mistake that the statically-blind make.
- mkorfmann 7y agoA mistake?
- webninja 7y agoSo that means Shopify grew by 500M and EBay grew by 200M. Is that right?
- megaremote 7y agoEbay grew by $200m, shopify by $500m.
