Pretty much every OO language has implemented lambda (anonymous) functions in recent years. It's actually a very enjoyable coding flow to create closures in stateless objects using C# or Java.

Not only that, Smalltalk already had lambdas (known as blocks). Smalltalk-80 collections pretty much offer a subset of LINQ.

Closures are just memory leaks though.

  A closure ends up being an object with references and can be cleaned up just like any other object. Or so I thought. What am I missing?
