Wallets specifically exist to solve this problem, and if you’re not using one then you will see those obvious effects.
The issue here is that Apple is telling you not to use the things that are specifically designed to protect cards and such from these kinds of problems.
- aetherspawn 7y agoI’d argue Apple Pay and loyalty card scanning basically deprecated a wallet. I use my banks app for loyalty card scanning because it doesn’t work properly in Apple Wallet yet.
- orev 7y agoI agree that paying by phone is convenient and pretty cool, but you really need to be in a special kind of first world bubble to think it’s a valid and future proof complete replacement for a wallet. There are just so many failure scenarios that are so easy to imagine it’s hardly even worth talking about.
